Reaction Steps
In an analogous manner to that described above, by a palladium catalyzed coupling of 2-benzyloxy-5-trimethylstannyl-pyridine with tert-butyl 4-trifluoromethylsulphonyloxy-3,6-dihydro-2H-pyridine-1-carboxylate [Example 126 (c)] there was obtained tert-butyl 6-benzyloxy-3',6'-dihydro-2H-[3,4']bipyridine-1'-carboxylate as a colourless solid MS: 367 (M+H)+.
