Reaction Steps
A solution of 2-(4-methylvaleryl)furan (1 mmol) and N,N-dimethylhydrazine (1.5 mmol) in EtOH was heated at reflux for 24 h. Evaporation and distilation gave 2-(4-methylvaleryl)furan dimethylhydrazone as a brown oil.
