1.205 g of triphenyl phosphine were added to a solution of 855 mg of the product of Step D in 4 ml of methylene chloride and the mixture was cooled to −10° C. 1.522 g of tetrabromomethane were added, and after stirring for one hour at −5° C., the reaction mixture was chromatographed on silica (eluant: cyclohexane-ethyl acetate 35-65) to obtain 0.98 g of the expected product.
