Condensation of 2-methyl-3-phenylpropylamine (830 mg, 3.97 mmol) and ketone 5 (918 mg, 3.97 mmol), following the procedure described in Example 1, gave compound 6-{trans-[4-(2-methyl-3-phenylpropylamino)-cyclohexyl]}-3H-benzoxazol-2-one (400 mg, 48%): 1H NMR (500 MHz, DMSO-d6): δ 7.32-7.21 (m, 2H), 7.19-7.17 (m, 4H), 7.03-6.98 (m, 2H), 2.77 (dd, J=13, 6 Hz, 1H), 2.55-2.34 (m, 7H), 1.99-1.97 (m, 2H), 1.84-1.80 (m, 2H), 1.50-1.47 (m, 2H), 1.18-1.05 (m, 2H), 0.88 (d, J=6 Hz, 3H).
