Reaction Steps
Racemic 3-chloro-5-methyltyrosine methyl ester hydrochloride (example 119) was coupled to the carboxylic acid of example 2 in the usual manner. The phenolic hydroxyl group was alkylated with methyl bromoacetate in the usual manner (K2CO3/acetone at reflux) and ester groups saponified to give the title compound of example 127.
