This compound was prepared in analogy to the procedure described in Example 16i) starting from 7-bromo-benzo[b]thiophene (Focus synthesis, CAS:1423-61-6) using 4-pyridineboronic acid as reagent to obtain 4-benzo[b]thiophen-7-yl-pyridine as a grey solid. MS (ISP): m/e 212.1 (M+H)+
