Procedure

A mixture of 4-{2-[4-(2,6-difluoro-benzoylamino)-1H-pyrazol-3-yl]-1H-benzimidazol-5-ylmethyl}-piperazine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (84 mg), MeOH (3 mL) and saturated HCl/EtOAc (3 mL) was stirred at r.t. for 16 h and then reduced in vacuo azeotroping with toluene to give the title compound (21 mg) as a yellow solid. (LC/MS: Rt 1.60, [M+H]+ 438.09).

Workup

  1. customazeotroping with toluene
