{[3-(5-Morpholin-4-yl-methyl-1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)-1H-pyrazol-4-yl-carbamoyl]-phenyl-methyl}-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (Example 232) (30 mg) was dissolved in 4M HCl/dioxane, and 3 ml of methanol and stirred at room temperature overnight. The solvent was removed in vacuo and residue triturated with diethylether to give 2-amino-N-[3-(5-morpholin-4-yl-methyl-1H-benzimidazol-2-yl-)-1H-pyrazol-4-yl]-2-phenyl-acetamide (AT8162) as a white solid (20 mg, 83%).
