Reaction Steps
Alkylation reaction of phenol 24 with 1,2-epoxy-3-methylbutane gave 2-(2-(3-(2-hydroxy-3-methylbutoxy)phenoxy)ethyl)isoindoline-1,3-dione as yellow oil. Yield (1.0 g, 76%): 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ 8.01-8.03 (m, 1H), 7.47-7.55 (m, 3H), 7.13-7.17 (m, 1H), 6.49-6.54 (m, 3H), 4.12 (t, J=5.6 Hz, 2H), 3.98-4.02 (m, 1H), 3.82-3.88 (m, 3H), 3.68-3.73 (m, 1H), 1.82-1.88 (m, 1H), 1.01 (d, J=6.8 Hz, 3H), 0.91 (d, J=6.8 Hz, 3H).
