The intermediate (0.56 g, 1.6 mmol) from step C was dissolved in CH2Cl2 (10 mL) and to it was added a 1 M solution of TBAF in CH2Cl2 (5 mL). After being stirred at room temperature for 2 hours, the solution was diluted with CH2Cl2. The resulting solution was washed with brine, dried over MgSO4 and concentrated. Purification on silica gel eluting with 2:1 EtOAc/hexanes provided the title compound (0.27 g, 71%) as an oil. MS calculated (M+H)+ 235. found 235.
