To a mixture of 8-(3,5-bis-trifluoromethyl-benzoyl)-1-phenyl-1,3,8-triaza-spiro[4.5]decan-4-one (1.0 g, 2.1 mmol), cesium fluoride (32 mg, 0.21 mmol) and tetraethoxysilane (475 μL, 2.1 mmol) in THF (10 mL) was added ethyl acrylate (254 μL, 2.3 mmol). The mixture was stirred for 1 d at room temperature. Evaporation of the solvent yielded a residue which was purified by chromatography on silica gel (ethyl acetate/n-hexane 1:2) to yield the desired product (0.9 g, 75%), MS: m/e=572.1 (M+H+).
