Reaction Steps
10 mmol of N-methyl-2-methoxyethylamine is added to the solution of (3-Chloromethyl-[1,2,4]thiadiazol-5-yl)-(2,4-dimethoxy-benzyl)-amine (Intermediate XXVIII) in 50 ml THF and 10 mmol of Cs2CO3 is added. The reaction is heated at reflux overnight. The reaction is cooled to room temperature and filtered, washed with THF. The filtrate is concentrated and purified by RP-HPLC.
