To a solution of 6-Bromo-2-chloro-quinoxaline (0.3 g, 1 eq., 1.23 mmol) in DMSO (9 mL), was added 3-chloro benzyl amine (0.87 g, 5 eq., 6.2 mmol) at room temperature. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight. After completion of the reaction, water (60 mL) was added and the reaction mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate (30 mL×3). The organic layer was washed with water (60 mL) and brine (60 mL), then dried over Na2SO4. The organic layer was concentrated under vacuum to obtain the crude product.
