Reaction Steps
To a suspension of ethyl 6-chloro-7-(4-(4-(4-chlorophenyl)cyclohexylcarbamoyl)phenoxy)chroman-4-carboxylate (0.065 g, 0.11 mmol) in 3:1 THF/ethanol (1 ml) was added 1M sodium hydroxide (0.24 ml, 0.24 mmol), and the reaction was stirred for 16 hours at ambient temperature. The reaction was concentrated, taken up in water, acidified with 1M hydrochloric acid, and extracted twice with EtOAc. The combined organic layers were dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, filtered, and concentrated to yield 45 mg of the title compound (73% yield).
