To a solution of 178c (179 mg, 0.35 mmol) in methanol (6 mL) was added sodium borohydride (39 mg, 1.05 mmol) at 0° C. The reaction mixture was stirred for 30 minutes and quenched with water (1.0 mL). It was then concentrated under reduced pressure and the residue was purified by reverse-phase prep-HPLC to afford 178 (100 mg, 56%). MS-ESI: [M+H]+ 513.3. 1H NMR (500 MHz, CDCl3) δ 8.81 (s, 1H), 8.68 (d, J=5.0 Hz, 1H), 8.32 (s, 1H), 8.27 (d, J=4.0 Hz, 1H), 7.94 (bs, 1H), 7.76 (d, J=1.5 Hz, 1H), 7.58-7.56 (m, 2H), 6.85-6.80 (m, 2H), 4.47-4.45 (m, 2H), 4.38-4.36 (m, 1H), 3.74 (s, 3H), 3.01-2.99 (m, 2H), 2.89-2.87 (m, 2H), 2.02-1.99 (m, 4H).
