To a solution of tert-butyl (6SR,7RS)-6-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-7-[(1E)-3-ethoxy-3-oxoprop-1-en-1-yl]-1,4-oxazepane-4-carboxylate (630 mg) in ethanol (5 ml) was added 3% Pt/sulfided carbon (100 mg), and the mixture was stirred under a hydrogen atmosphere at room temperature overnight. The catalyst was removed by filtration. The solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography to give the title compound (450 mg).
