2-Amino-4-methoxy-N-{2-[4-(4-methoxy-3-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)piperazin-1-yl]-ethyl}-aniline (2.5 g, 6 mmol) is dissolved in 30 ml tetrahydrofurane; 1.5 g (9 mmol) carbonyldiimidazole is added portionwise to the resulting solution. The mixture is left at room temperature under stirring for 24 h. After evaporation to dryness, the residue is purified by silicagel chromatography (methylene chloride/methanol/32% aqueous ammonia 95:5:0.5). The crude title compound is triturated with ethylether.
