To N,N-dimethylethanol amine (921 mg, 1.04 mL, 10.3 mmol) in dichloromethane (5 mL) was added a solution of 3-(3-(1-(2,2-difluorobenzo[d][1,3]dioxol-5-yl)cyclopropanecarboxamido)isoquinolin-1-yl)benzoyl chloride in dichloromethane (5 mL). The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight. The mixture was diluted with DCM (20 mL) and was washed with 1N HCl (20 mL) and saturated NaHCO3 (20 mL). The organics were dried over Na2SO4 and evaporated to yield 2-(dimethylamino)ethyl 3-(3-(1-(2,2-difluorobenzo[d][1,3]dioxol-5-yl)cyclopropanecarboxamido)isoquinolin-1-yl)benzoate (1.30 g, 90%). ESI-MS m/z calc. 559.6. found 560.3 (M+1)+. Retention time 1.72 minutes.
