To a solution of N-(2-{[3-(1-methylethyl)phenyl]oxy}-5-pyrimidinyl)-D-alaninamide (Intermediate 87, 100 mg) in dichloromethane (30 mL) were added triphosgene (40 mg, 0.133 mmol) and triethylamine (51 mg, 0.5 mmol). The resulting mixture was stirred at 0° C. for 30 minutes and water (30 mL) was added. It was extracted with dichloromethane (3 times 30 mL) and the combined organic layer was dried over sodium sulphate and evaporated to afford the title compound (100 mg). 1HNMR (400 MHz, CDCl3): δ ppm 8.62 (2H, s), 7.26-7.30 (1H, t), 7.08-7.05 (2H, m), 6.99-6.92 (2H, m), 4.22-4.20 (1H, d), 2.88-2.84 (1H, m), 1.47-1.45 (3H, d), 1.19-1.18 (6H, d); MS—2 (ESI): 326 [M+H]+.
