Procedure

A toluene (39 mL) solution of diene 40 (199 mg, 0.39 mmol) and Grubbs 2nd generation catalyst (33 mg, 0.04 mmol, Aldrich) was stirred at 50° C. for 3 h. The reaction was stored in the freezer overnight and then was evaporated and purified by flash chromatography using a Combiflash unit by Teledyne Isco (80 g silica gel, 0%→10% ethyl acetate/hexanes) to give the title compound (177 mg, 0.37 mmol, 94%).
