Reaction Steps

Following the procedure of Example 5(c) 3,5-bis-(5-cyano-pyridin-2-yloxy)-benzoic acid 0.6 g (1.67 mmol) and piperazine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (0.31 g, 1.67 mmol) were used to afford 0.55 g of the required product. 1HNMR (DMSO-d6): δ 1.42 (9H, s), 3.45 (6H, m), 3.56 (2H, m), 7.20 (2H, d), 7.27 (1H, t), 7.32 (2H, d), 8.37 (2H, dd), 8.70 (2H, d).
