1.30 g of NiCl2 was dissolved in 100 mL of methanol, and then 5.5 mL oleic acid was added. A NaOH solution with 0.8 g of NaOH in 200 mL of methanol was dropped into the solution under magnetic stirring conditions. The reaction was carried out for one hour. The observed green precipitate of Ni (II) oleate was extracted with hexane. The solvents were removed under vacuum overnight.
