Procedure
An ethanol (6 mL) suspension of trans-6-[3-(2-fluoro-phenyl)-ureido]-3,4-dihydro-1H-isoquinoline-2-carboxylic acid 4-[2-(4-methoxy-benzyl)-2H-tetrazol-5-ylmethyl]-cyclohexyl ester (333 mg) obtained in Example (44e) and palladium carbon (55 mg) was stirred at room temperature for 3 days in a hydrogen atmosphere. The reaction mixture was filtered through Celite and concentrated. The residue was purified by column chromatography (dichloromethane/ethyl acetate=5:1→1:1 and then dichloromethane/methanol=25:1→5:1) to obtain the title compound (22 mg, 8%) as an off-white solid.
