A mixture of 5-Bromo-2-ethyl-7-methyl-3-(2'-(tetrazol-5-yl)biphen-4-yl)methyl-3H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridine (74 mg), methylamine (0.6 g), and EtOH (2 mL) was heated in a bomb at 180° C. for 16 hours. Concentration and purification (SiO2, 90/9/1 CH2Cl2 /MeOH/NH4OH) gave 34.4 mg of the title compound. 1H NMR (300 MHz, CD3OD) δ7.60-7.51 (m, 2H), 7.49-7.42 (m, 2H), 7.17-7.05 (m, 4H), 6.33 (s, 1H), 5.44 (s, 2H), 2.90 (s, 3H), 2.79 (q, 2H, J=7.8 Hz), 2.47 (s, 3H), 1.22 (t, 3H, J=7.8 Hz).
