Procedure
The procedure described in Example 2 was repeated, but using 7.3 g of ethyl 3-{4-[6-acetoxy-2-methyl-4-oxo-7-(1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl) chroman-2-ylmethoxy]phenyl}-2-chloropropionate (prepared as described in Preparation 25), 1.3 g of thiourea and 8 ml of sulfolane, to give the title compound as a slightly yellow powder, softening at 80° -88° C.
