Reaction Steps
The compound of Example 52 (95 mg, 0.19 mmol) and 380 μl (0.38 mmol) of 1M lithium hydroxide were added to 2.0 ml of methanol, and the reaction mixture was stirred for four hours at room temperature. The solvent was removed under vacuum to give a white solid which was suspended in 5.0 ml of water. The mixture was acidified with 10% hydrochloric acid, stirred and filtered to remove the resultant solid which was then dried at 40° C. overnight in a vacuum oven to give the product.
