Following the procedure used to prepare 1-(5-fluoro-2-methoxy-phenyl)-3-phenyl-prop-2-yn-1-ol, 2,3,4-trimethoxybenzaldehyde (1.00 g, 5.10 mmol) was reacted to give the title compound (1.50 g, 99%). 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6): δ 7.45-7.28 (m, 6H), 6.88-6.83 (m, 1H), 5.97-5.92 (d, 1H), 5.73-5.68 (d, 1H), 3.85 (s, 3H), 3.80 (s, 3H), 3.76 (s, 3H).
