Following the procedure used to prepare 1-(5-fluoro-2-methoxy-phenyl)-3-phenyl-prop-2-yn-1-ol, 2,5-dimethoxy-4-methyl-benzaldehyde (1.00 g, 5.55 mmol) was reacted to give the title compound (1.54 g, 98%). 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6): δ 7.42-7.34 (m, 5H), 7.16 (s, 1H), 6.86 (s, 1H), 5.98-5.94 (d, 1H), 5.77-5.74 (d, 1H), 3.77 (s, 3H), 3.76 (s, 3H), 2.16 (s, 3H).
