Following the procedure used to prepare 1-(5-fluoro-2-methoxy-phenyl)-3-phenyl-prop-2-yn-1-ol, 2,4-dimethoxy-5-methyl-benzaldehyde (1.00 g, 5.55 mmol) was reacted to give the title compound (1.39 g, 89%). 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6): δ 7.43-7.30 (m, 6H), 6.61 (s, 1H), 5.79-5.70 (m, 2H), 3.83 (s, 3H), 3.82 (s, 3H), 2.09 (s, 3H).
