Following the procedure used to prepare 3-[4-(1-amino-cyclobutyl)-phenyl]-6-fluoro-2-phenyl-chromen-4-one, {1-[4-(7-methoxy-4-oxo-2-phenyl-4H-chromen-3-yl)-phenyl]-cyclobutyl}-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester was reacted to give the title compound as an off-white solid (50 mg, 84%). 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3): δ 8.19 (d, J=9 Hz, 1H), 7.41-7.38 (m, 2H), 7.36-7.31 (m, 3H), 7.29-7.24 (m, 2H), 7.21-7.17 (m, 2H), 7.00 (dd, J=2 and 9 Hz, 1H), 6.93 (d, J=2 Hz, 1H), 3.93 (s, 3H), 2.59-2.51 (m, 2H), 2.20-2.10 (m, 2H), 2.10-2.01 (m, 1H), 1.80-1.70 (m, 1H). LCMS (Method F): RT=9.26 min, [M+H]+=398.
