(1S,4R)-4-Hydroxy-2,2-dimethyl-4-[5-(3-methyl-5-{[4-(trifluoromethyl)pyrimidin-2-yl]amino}-phenyl)-1,3-thiazol-2-yl]cyclohexanecarboxylic acid (9.8 mg, 0.019 mmol) was dissolved in acetonitrile (20 μL) and water (20 μL). Sodium hydroxide (19 μL, 0.019 mmol) was added, and the mixture was heated to 35° C. for 10 min. The mixture was allowed to cool to rt, diluted with water, froze to a solid, and lyophilized to dryness to afford sodium (1S,4R)-4-hydroxy-2,2-dim ethyl-4-[5-(3-methyl-5-{[4-(trifluoromethyl)pyrimidin-2-yl]amino}phenyl)-1,3-thiazol-2-yl]-cyclohexanecarboxylate.
