To a solution of 200 mg (0.436 mmol) (4-Isopropyl-phenyl)-(2-{[2-(2-methoxy-ethoxy)-pyridin-3-ylmethyl]-amino}-5-prop-2-ynyloxy-phenyl)-methanone in 1.5 ml acetic acid is added 28 mg (0.436 mmol) sodium cyanate. After stirring for 2 h the solvent is removed in vacuo and the residue is partitioned between CH2Cl2 and water. The organic layer is dried and evaporated. Purification of the crude product by flash-chromatography (CH2Cl2/ether 3:7) affords a yellow oil.
