To a solution of 6-chloro-7-(4-(3-(4-chlorophenyl)cyclohexylcarbamoyl)phenoxy)chroman-4-carboxylic acid (0.032 g, 0.0592 mmol) in methanol (2 ml) was added 0.5M sodium methanolate in methanol (0.121 ml, 0.0604 mmol), and the reaction was stirred overnight. The reaction was concentrated to yield 33 mg of the title compound (99.1% yield). MS (apci) m/z=540.0 (M−Na+2H).
