A 28% solution of sodium methoxide (117 mg) in methanol was added to a solution of 3-cyclopropyl-3-(3-(((6-(2,2-dimethylpropyl)-5-(2-fluoro-5-methoxyphenyl)pyridin-2-yl)oxy)methyl)phenyl)propanoic acid (299 mg) in methanol (4.0 mL), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 5 min. The reaction mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure to give the title compound (316 mg) as a white amorphous solid.
