Reaction Steps
500 mg (1.07 mmol) of the compound from Example 4A were dissolved in 20 ml of DMF, 245 μl (1.23 mmol) of 4-tert-butylbenzyl bromide and 1.12 g (3.4 mmol) of caesium carbonate were added and the mixture was stirred at RT overnight. Water was then added to the mixture. After addition of 1.4 ml of 5 N formic acid, the mixture was extracted repeatedly with toluene and the combined organic phases were dried over sodium sulphate and concentrated.
