Reaction Steps

A suspension of 24 (0.1 g, 0.24 mmol) and PtO2 (0.02 g) in EtOAc (10 mL) and isohexane (10 mL), previously purged with nitrogen, was stirred under a hydrogen atmosphere (balloon) at RT for 90 min. The catalyst was removed by filtration through Hyflo, the filtrate was evaporated to dryness and the residue was purified on silica to yield the title compound 25, 0.027 g (26%).
