Reaction Steps

To a stirring solution of tert-butyl 2-(1-(benzo[d]thiazol-2-ylmethoxy)-4-hydroxy-2-oxo-1,2-dihydroquinoline-3-carboxamido)acetate (0.3 g, 0.623 mmol) in DCM (2 ml) was added TFA (3.36 ml, 43.6 mmol) slowly at 20-25° C. Reaction mixture was stirred for 3 h. Excess solvent was distilled out and then diluted with water. Precipitated product was filtered to get crude product which was then recrystallized in EtOH:EtOAC to get titled product in 87% yield.
