Reaction Steps
A solution of Example 4 (200 mg, 0.37 mmol) in dichloromethane (10 mL), under argon, was treated with N-t-butoxycarbonylpiperazine (89.57 mg, 0.48 mmol) and diisopropylethylamine (77.42 μL 0.44 mmol). To the stirring solution, diethyl cyanophosphonate (72.06 μL, 0.43 mmol) was added. After stirring for two hours at room temperature, the reaction mixture was poured into water (20 mL) and the aqueous layer extracted with dichloromethane (three times 20 mL). The combined organic layers were dried over Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated. The crude mixture was used without further purification in the next step. (408 mg, ESI-MS (M+1) 709)
