In a similar manner to that described for the preparation of (S)-3-amino-8-methyl-2,3-dihydrobenzo[b][1,4]oxazepin-4(5H)-one trifluoroacetate except the reaction mixture was stirred at 0° C. for 30 min. and at RT for 20 min., tert-butyl (2S,3S)-2,8-dimethyl-4-oxo-2,3,4,5-tetrahydrobenzo[b][1,4]oxazepin-3-ylcarbamate was converted to the title compound (175 mg, 112%) which was used without purification.
