t-Butyl glycidyl ether (0.19 ml) and copper(II) trifluoromethanesulphonate (0.018 g) were added to a solution of (R)-N-(2-chloro-4-aminophenyl)-2-acetoxy-2-methyl-3,3,3-trifluoropropanamide (0.325 g) (Method 32) in diethyl ether (5 ml). The mixture was stirred for 40 hours then volatile material was removed by evaporation and the residue was purified by chromatography to give the title compound (0.141 g) as a foam; MS (ESP−): 453.
