A solution of intermediate 230(a) of Example 230 (26 mg, 0.079 mmol) in methanol (2 mL) was treated with NaBH4 (6 mg, 0.16 mmol) at 0° C. for 15 min. The solution was quenched with saturated aqueous NH4Cl and diluted with ethyl acetate. After extraction, the organic phase was washed with brine, dried (Na2SO4), filtered, and concentrated. Silica gel chromatography of the residue (3:1 ethyl acetate:hexane) gave intermediate 241(a) (13 mg) in 50% yield.
