5-(3-Bromo-4-fluorophenyl)-3-(4-methoxyphenyl)-[1,2,4]triazine (from Example 9 below) (150 mg, 0.42 mmol) was coupled to 3-fluoro-4-tributylstannylpyridine (170 mg, 0.43 mmol) using the method of Example 6 to give 5-[4-fluoro-3-(3-fluoro-pyridin-4-yl)phenyl]-3-(4-methoxyphenyl)-[1,2,4]triazine, crystallised from hot toluene (70 mg): δH (400 MHz, d6-DMSO) 3.88 (3H, s), 7.16 (2H, d, J 8.9 Hz), 7.69-7.77 (2H, m), 8.53 (2H, d, J 8.9 Hz), 8.63-8.67 (3H, m), 8.79 (1H, m), 10.05 (1H, s); m/z (ES+) 377.
