Procedure
A sample of 16α-hydroxy-17β-methylamino-5α-androstan-3-one was converted to the maleate, which was crystallised from methylene dichloride-acetone to give pure 16α-hydroxy-17β-methylamino-5α-androstan-3-one maleate as prisms, m.p. 204°-207° C., [α]DDMSO +8° (C 1.0).
Workup
- customwas crystallised from methylene dichloride-acetone
