Procedure

3 mmol of (1H-imidazol-4-yl)-4-phenyl-1-butene (Example 51) are dissolved in 50 ml of methanol. 70 mg Pd/C (10%) are added, and reduction is carried out for 12 hours at a pressure of 10 bar under hydrogen.
