Phosphorus oxide (P4O10) → Phosphoric Acid
Reaction equation
[O:1]=[P:2]12[O:13][P:11]3([O:14][P:4]([O:6][P:7]([O:10]3)([O:9]1)=[O:8])(=[O:5])[O:3]2)=[O:12]>CC(CCO)C>[P:2](=[O:1])([OH:13])([OH:9])[OH:3].[O:5]=[P:4]12[O:3][P:2]3([O:9][P:7]([O:10][P:11]([O:13]3)([O:14]1)=[O:12])(=[O:8])[O:6]2)=[O:1]Participants

Procedure
The residual phosphoric acid is reextracted with 5.3 l/h from the i-amyl alcohol extract in a battery of 4 extractor units. 8.7 l/h of an aqueous phosphoric acid having a P2O5 content of 36% by weight are produced. This corresponds to a P2O5 yield of 49.7%.
