Procedure

The title compound (100 mg) was prepared by the method of Example 85 using 1.52 g (4.65 mmole) of 6-[(1H-benzimidazol-2-ylthio)methyl]-N-(2,2-dimethylpropyl)-2-pyridinamine (see Example 106) instead of 6-[(1H-benzimidazol-2-ylthio)methyl]-2-pyridinamine. Structure assignment was supported by the nmr and infrared spectra and by elemental analysis. Analysis. Calc'd. for C18H22N4SO*¼ H2O: C, 62.31; H, 6.48; N, 16.15; S, 9.24. Found: C, 62.19; H, 6.47; N, 15.76; S, 9.09.
