Procedure

The title compound was synthesized as in Example 1 using 3-nitroaniline (1.35 g, 9.8 mmol), CSI (0.85 L, 9.8 mmol), and 3-amino-N-(3,4-difluoro-phenyl)-4-methoxy-benzamide (0.39 g, 1.4 mmol) to give 0.074 g of benzamide, N-(3,4-difluorophenyl)-4-methoxy-3-[[[[[(3-nitrophenyl)-amino]carbonyl]-amino]sulfonyl]amino]-. Microanalysis: C21H17F2N5O7S.0.44 H2O; calculated: C=47.65; H=3.40; N=13.23. found: C=47.64; H=3.01; N=13.51. MS: M++1=522 Da.Mp 206-208° C.
