The title compound (82 mg, 30%, yellow foam) was prepared from [2-(4-bromophenoxy)propyl][(methylethyl)sulfonyl]amine (252 mg, 0.749 mmol, prepared in example 1), 4-formylbenzeneboronic acid (135 mg, 0.900 mmol), dichlorobis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(II) (21 mg, 0.030 mmol), 2 M sodium carbonate (270 mg in 1.3 mL water), and 1,2-dimethoxyethane (5 mL) in a manner analogous to the procedure described in Example 8.
