2-((N-Acetyl)aminomethyl)-5-((N-acetyl)carbamoyl)-1-nitrobenzene (1.00 g) and sodium hydrosulfite (7.0 g) in a mixture of tetrahydrofuran (5 ml), ethanol (5 ml) and water (20 ml) were heated under reflux for 1 hr. After cooling, the organic layer was separated, dried over sodium sulfate and concentrated. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography to give the objective compound (1.06 g).
