Procedure

In 3,000 ml of water were dissolved 28 g of gelatin and 13.2 g of benzotriazole, and the solution was kept at 40° C. while stirring. To the solution was added 100 ml of an aqueous solution of 17 g of silver nitrate over 2 min. An excessive salt were sedimented by pH-adjustment and removed from the resulting emulsion. Thereafter, the emulsion wa adjusted to pH 6.30 to obtain a silver benzotriazole emulsion. The yield of the emulsion was 400 g.
